Emotional First Aid During COVID-19

We are finding ourselves in unprecedented times where our landscape seems to change day by day and our ground below continues to move loosely below our feet. We are in rough terrain sustaining a variety of emotional wounds. And just like we would tend to our physical wounds such as everyday scrapes, bruises and burns so they don’t get infected or fester, we need to tend to our everyday emotional wounds such as loneliness, guilt, loss and trauma, and rejection.

Guy Winch is the psychologist and author behind the book,”Emotional First Aid.” You can see his TED Talk , Why We All Need to Practice Emotional First Aid, if you’re not much of a reader.

Here is a quick info graphic on how you can administer emotional first aid to your everyday ailments. Think of this as your handy guide hanging in your pantry reminding you to take care of yourself!
